A sugar that is actually good for you.
I think it tastes nicer than sugar as it enhances flavour instead of masking it. Best of all Trehalose is proven to support the immune system and has real health benefits. I would not go back to using sugar now.

trehalose is very good
I have used it for nearly a year, and any-time I go for a check up at the hospital my blood count is always rising, I now have a lot of energy, it has been a long time I had a cold. I can not explain much but it is doing wonders for me.

Trehalose supports the whole body on a cellular level
My ex who has a degenerative genetic disorder has been taking trehalose for over a year. There have been definite improvements in cognitive ability and mood. It seems to be slowing down the rate of degeneration as it improves cell health and increases the cells' ability to protect themselves against attack.

Trehalose is the sugar we should all be using
Since I've been using trehalose i've noticed more energy, my mind seems to be clearer and most importantly I don't feel guilty using sugar (trehalose) as it seems to be doing me good. The Trehalose Almond Macaroons are wonderful but you need to eat them quickly otherwise other people will do and you'll get none.

Preferred Sweetener
I have been interested in the science of plant sugars (glyconutrients as they are commonly known)for a number of years and intrigued how scientific research suggests their support of the human body's healthy cellular communication and that of the body's immune system. Trehalose is another one of these supportive sugars with positive scientific research and results.I like using Trehalose as a preferred sweetener as for me it enhances flavours of foods and drinks and does not influence the body's blood sugar levels. I have tried the Trehalose Almond Macaroon Recipes and highly recommend them.
Here is a great recipe for Trehalose Almond Macaroons
Preheat the oven to 180 Degrees C (350 Degrees F) or Gas mark 4. Line 2 or 3 baking trays with rice paper.
Put 3 egg whites in a clean, grease free bowl. Whisk until stiff but not dry. Gently fold in 9 oz of trehalose sugar, 6 Oz ground almonds and a few drops of almond essence.
Spoon the mixture into a piping bag with a 1cm nozzle. Pipe small rounds onto the baking sheets spacing well apart Top with halved almonds. If you don't have a piping bag or prefer a more rustic look then use a teaspoon to spoon mixture onto the paper. If the mixture is too dry just add a little water.
Bake for 20-30 minutes until lightly browned. Leave to cool on the baking sheets.
Remove the cool Macaroons and tear of the excess rice paper.
The nice thing about these macaroons is that they stay crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside and they don't raise your blood sugar levels the same way that normal macaroons would due to the trehalose.
